We are proud of the fact that each and every team member is personally trained by Dr. Bybee to provide the best biological dental care we can. They also regularly attend annual meetings of the IABDM and IAOMT to keep up to date with the latest developments in this approach.
Meet Our Team
Brandi
Receptionist
Brandi has led our front desk since 2022 and has learned deeply about biological dentistry through her work on the Desert Valley Dentistry team. She is certified in CPR and plans to pursue further education in business management. “I love getting to know the patients we help,” she says, and since she’s always enjoyed math, “working on accounts never gets boring.” Married to her high school sweetheart, Brandi has two beautiful babies and enjoys spending her free time with them outdoors in the sun or just curled up with a good book.
Sophia
Receptionist
Born and raised in Blackfoot and Pocatello, Sophia has been a member of our team since 2024. She is CPR certified and currently taking classes at Idaho State. You’ll see her at our front desk, where she’s ready to help you whenever you need. “I love seeing the smiling faces of patients,” she says. A proud dog mom, Sophia enjoys reading and traveling, and hopes to one day become an engineer.
Amber
Dental Assistant
Amber is a native of Pocatello who has learned and honed her assisting skills chairside, directly trained by dentists. She joined our team in 2022 and is certified in both first aid and CPR. Amber especially enjoys getting to know each and every patient personally and helping them improve their mouth/body health. She has a son and loves to spend her free time fishing, playing sports like soccer and tennis, and spending time with her family.
Maelie
Dental Assistant
With a father who is a dentist, Maelie has literally grown up in the dental world, receiving her training directly from him as she worked in his Mesa, AZ, dental office through high school. It was work she loved from the moment she began. Maelie is certified in CPR, and now that she’s here in Pocatello, she intends on pursuing formal education at Idaho State. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs, and loves hiking, art, and music.
Alesha
Registered Dental Hygienist
Born in South Korea, Alesha lived in Sydney, Australia and Bristol, England before moving to the US in the early 2000s. Pursuit of education brought her to Pocatello, where she attended Idaho State and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in 2010. Alesha has been a part of our team since 2022 and enjoys building relationships with her patients and teaching them how to take charge of their oral health. “At Desert Valley Dentistry,” she says, “we are like family. We truly enjoy each other’s company, and the office atmosphere makes it a great place to work!”
